YOUR IDOLS DON’T LOVE YOU.
think of everything you have ever accomplished in your life. all of your success and all that you have obtained as a result of that success. it is because of God’s grace as to why these things came to be. every thing we believe to be the best in life is due to the hand of God reaching down and graciously opening doors for us to walk through. it is because of Him why we even have the ability to do what we do and live the life that we have, but when we become obsessed and consumed with our possessions, our relationships, our abilities etc. we end up misplacing our hopes in those things and not in God, the one who holds it all. they have become our idols. this is a reminder that we were never meant to worship the creation, but our worship and adoration belong to God, the creator of all things. God loves us best, God loves us the most and when everything else fades away, God’s unrelenting love still remains. our idols don’t love us. they never did, they never will. they can’t do anything for us but give momentary satisfactions that leave us empty in the end. God wants use to give up our idols and choose Him.
